Telstra approached Raw Ideas to develop a solution which would allow attendee data stored by a third-party event provider to be available to their business events marketing tool. While both services exposed APIs, there was no direct communication path existing between the two services.

Raw Ideas consulted with two third party providers to create middleware that bridged communications between the event and marketing API's.

The service was created using Java and would intermittently query a marketing report for new or updated attendee registration data from an API. This would then transform the data using predefined business rules and relay the data via an API to the marketing tool every 15 minutes.
