Content Management
Content is without a doubt the most important component of a website. Without well-structured and regularly updated content, visitors won’t even give your site a chance.
Studies show that you have just seconds to prove to visitors that you have the latest information, product or service that they are searching for - and that “exciting news” article dated 2008 just won’t cut it.
For many years, it was impossible for a company to update their website internally without employing a trained web professional - but with the rapid developments in web technology there is now an affordable way to manage your own content.
Raw Ideas offers two highly customisable Content Management Systems to suit the varying needs of our clients.
Silverstripe
SilverStripe is a New Zealand-based company who offer an Open Source CMS by the same name. Their aim is not to provide a product filled to the brim with features which are never used, but instead to provide content editors with a clean, simple and intuitive platform that doesn’t require a 300-page user manual. The idea is that features can be easily added and altered to meet specific needs, leaving us with the perfect platform on which to build stunning, easy-to-update websites.
Ez Publish
This enormously powerful Content Management System offers endless possibilities. From social networking sites with heavy visitor interaction to mobile messaging integration, document sharing, multi-level access control and e-commerce - you name it and eZ Publish can do it! It is even possible to allow editors to log in using their username and password from your internal IT network.
Capable of handling websites with thousands of pages, this CMS is one of the “best in breed” in the web development field while still being available with Open Source licensing, meaning no ongoing fees!
Custom Modules
Custom modules can be integrated into the CMS and are created to meet a client’s specific needs. One example of a custom module would be the inclusion of a web interface to maintain a database of members. When a user requests their password to be reset, the system can automatically send them an email informing them of their new password. It’s this sort of interaction which allows our custom modules to minimise your staff’s workload!
When looking at your requirements, we make recommendations based on them and help determine how a specific custom module will facilitate and streamline workflows within your business.
