Brief
Hybrid TV initially approached Raw Ideas to redevelop and extend their existing account management system for TiVo customers. The business requirements included:
- TiVo media device activation via a user-friendly activation wizard
- Ability to activate multiple TiVo media devices on the one account
- Ability to give the media device a user-friendly name
- Activate Home Networking Package & Desktop Plus Keys
- Web wizard for easy device deactivation
Solution
Based on Hybrid Television Services’ requirements, Raw Ideas implemented the new My Account early in 2009 with a variety of interactive management features available to users all through an elegant Dashboard feature.
Ticking each requirement and then some, the build involved interfacing with core TiVo and Hybrid systems via SOAP and the development of a detailed user interface and backend account management systems for internal use, as well as a full test suite application used by technicians. Extensive testing was completed prior to the system going live, all conducted through our staging and production platform deployment process.

Since the initial implementation of My Account, we have been involved with the continued development and enhancement of the website ensuring the best TiVo customer experience possible.

- CASPA vouchers
- TiVo Genie integration
In November 2009, the full New Zealand version of the MyTiVo website was launched in conjunction with CASPA On-Demand.
CASPA On-Demand
The CASPA On-Demand section of My Account allows users to create a CASPA Wallet by registering their credit card, giving them the ability to purchase content through the CASPA On-Demand interface – an entertainment on demand service on their TiVo media device.
Customers can view a listing of their full transactional history and print tax invoices for individual transactions, as well as redeem CASPA Vouchers for CASPA Credits - which are sourced from the CASPA Billing System.
Raw Ideas continues to provide technical monitoring and support for TiVo My Account for both Australia & New Zealand.
