Tug of War
For the 2009 and 2010 State of Origin, viewers in the stadium and on TV were able to text in their favourite team to 044 SUPPORT. COSI processed all the incoming messages - thousands every minute - during the game, replying back to the consumer with an update on which team was winning the Tug of War.
Due to the flexibility of the system, custom promotions like this can be easily configured by allocating an incoming number to a promotion and configuring the processing systems required to achieve the desired outcome.
While Raw Ideas is an agency that specialises in dynamic web applications, we also have a strong foundation in media production. It was requirement that the in stadium screens featured an animation of the characters representing the current tally results of the winning team.
Our design team built an interactive Adobe Flash animation that represented the NSW and QLD teams based on the number of votes. At the conclusion of the game a separate animation sequence was triggered to represent the winner.
This animation was also exported to allow the Nine Network to use the animation on-air in conjunction with their existing on-air graphics platform.
While it is nice to provide the ability for consumers to interact with a promotion, it is even better to give something back, which is made possible with our Image Processing.
