On Tuesday 18th January 2011 the Queensland Government in conjunction with Sunrise launched Operation Bounce Back - a co-ordinated recovery operation calling on tradespeople to volunteer to assist in the recovery & rebuilding of communities affected by the Queensland flood disaster.

Raw Ideas worked closely with Sunrise to launch a website to support the initiative - on just a few hours’ notice. The simple, yet effective, site quickly allowed tradespeople to register their details which were automatically provided to the Queensland Government at regular intervals, allowing them to organise the recovery effort.

To help spread the word we also integrated social widgets from Facebook and Twitter, allowing users to discuss the campaign and share the details with their friends.

The website was promoted heavily on air, meaning it needed to handle huge spikes in requests, which were handled with ease by our high availability hosting infrastructure.
