Brief
The Foundation wanted to provide a unique Christmas experience for corporate entities by giving them the opportunity to replace their traditional paper Christmas card or HTML eCard with a CPF Video eCard.
The videos would feature children with cerebral palsy singing Christmas carols alongside celebrities.
Organisations needed to be able to view and customise their eCard with their own logo and details prior to purchasing the eCard online. They would then receive a copy of the electronic card which they could send to clients and employees.
Solution
After meeting with the CPF, Raw Ideas formulated a solution meeting the set requirements and the tight time schedule proposed. The solution included:
- A website to promote video eCards which meets worldwide standards for accessible content (W3C WCAG 2.0 AA). The website is accessible from various platforms, including mobile devices, and provides access to assistive technologies such as closed captioning for the hearing impaired.
- The website makes use of Raw Ideas’ high availability hosting environment to ensure that thousands of eCard recipients can watch their video eCards simultaneously.
- A secure three-step card customisation and payment process allows customers to brand their Video eCard, nominate their own URL and select their eCard greeting.
- An administration system allowing CPF officials to edit & approve eCards, run CRM reports and manage finances. The system was required to tie into their internal accounting processes.
- Nomination of payment method via credit card or account.
- Interface with CPF nominated credit card facility.
The Band Together website launched on schedule in preparation for the 2010 Christmas Season.
